Tears

A tear of
Hope,
Sadness,
Hate,
Some will deal
With someone’s fate;

A cry of joy,
A howl of fear,
As the tear runs
Crystal clear;

And as the tear
Rolls off your face,
It leaves a trail
Of memories traced;

And as it collides
With the earth,
The grass will hear
The droplet’s song,
Faint like a hum,
Piercing like a scream….

But it’s up to you which song it sings.
